Crafted from 24 barrels of experimental straight wheat whiskey with a mash bill of 95% wheat and 5% barley malt, this whiskey has been aged for 11 years in charred American oak barrels at the historic Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Polise and his team meticulously hand-selected and batched the whiskey into five unique lots, each bottled at cask strength. The result? - Single Barrel 36%: A mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley, bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV). This expression offers aromas of butterscotch, vanilla, and light fruit, followed by flavors of candied caramel, vanilla, and chocolate cocoa. The finish features butterscotch, roasted nuts, and a long rye spice.
Both Single Barrel expressions will be available in October, with a suggested retail price of $89.99.
